ACACIA DEALBATA (MIMOSA)
Scientific Name: Acacia dealbata. Family : Mimosaeae. Common Name: Mimosa. It grows to a height between 10 to 30 metres.
The yellow flowers burst into glomerules, grouped in single bunches that extend beyond the length of the leaf. The fruit,
a flat pod, is only slightly contracted between the seeds, if at all. Countries of Origin: Australia (N.W. Wales - Victoria),
Tasmania. It had been naturalized on Morocco. Environment :It is a hardy tree which grows quickly produces many flowers.
The blooming period is from December to March. Production is via the bark and the flower. The flowers are treated with volatile
solvents and enfleurage.

It has flowery, powdery and green odors. It serves as a modifying note in floral compositions (floral notes: jasmine, rose,
violet, etc) in the perfumery.
